Fit Foods for Diabetic Person

Posted: 3 years ago

Diabetes is a disease that affect
the blood sugar or the glucose in your body. Glucose is very important to our
health because it distributes energy for the cells that creates stronger
muscles and tissues. This usually occur not only to the old people but also to
the young ones who were obese. A numbers of diabetic person who already were
stroked and amputated due to this chronic illness.

Preparing foods for
an individual who had this illness is very tough to do. We are aware that this
kind of person needs an ample time of planning about his/her meals in each day.
They are very delicate and incorrect serving of foods can lead them near death.

My mother is also a diabetic person for more than 10 years.
She was diagnose when she was only 39. We just found out when her wound never
healed for about two months. Since then, we observe proper precautions to avoid
further consequences. I surf on to the other website and blogs about dietary
care and menu for persons with diabetes and I have gain knowledge about some
usual foods that can be serve as meal for them that is also available in our
kitchens or nearer stores.

And here are some of my list:

For fruits, a half of banana, one piece of apple, orange or
pears and this must be serve once every meal. Likewise with the vegetables, it
is better to serve them with at least 1 cup of raw leafy vegetables and if it’s
cooked make sure it’s only a half of cup per serving. If you desire to blend
vegetables into juice make sure you only have one half per serving.

For meat menu the only allowed per serving for cook lean
beef, veal, chicken, pork, lamb, turkey or fish is 2-3 ounces per serving. Same
as for the low fat cheese such as cheddar, parmesan, mozzarella and other kinds
of cheese.

Also, you can provide them with a half of a cup of cooked
dry beans or ¼ cup of tofu will do. 1 piece of slice bread, 4-5 pieces of
crackers, ¼ cooked rice or ½ small boiled potato.

Actually there are lots of foods that we can give for the diabetic
individual but there is always a limit. This sickness always accompanied with
danger which means every food they intake can cause their blood sugar ascend. Proper
care and guidance is what they need in order to survive.
