Arsenic pollution in the world

Posted: 1 year ago

Arsenic is a poisonous white compound of brittle element. Arsenic poisoning occurs when its intake exceeds the limit of tolerance. It becomes chronic when small amount of arsenic enters a body repeadly. It is converted into less toxic form in the liver and exerted with urine. When the amount of ingestion is greater than the exertion, arsenic accumulates in the hair, nail, skin, liver and bone.It is presumed that arsenic interferes with cell metabolism causing different systematic changes.Unless immediate attention is paid by the concerned agencies of the Bangladesh govt and relevant others, arsenic poisoning of ground water may become unmanageable in the future. So we all should be aware of the dreadful effects of arsenic pollution and never drink water from a source which is not sure to be arsenic free.
