First of all, let me introduce myself. I am a Blogger, SEO Expert, Web Developer and also a Geek with an introvert architecture :) Alright, lets move to our main topic. I have seen hundreds of bloggers who are totally obsessed with SEO. They waste both money and time on it. Come on guys, SEO is just SEO. Don't take it way too much seriously, or it will come back and bite you really hard!!!. Lets discuss some common myths about SEO. By the way, SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Hope you knew that already :) 1) Google is Everything Let me make it clear, there isn't just Google. There are tons of other Search Engines, giant Social Media platforms and many other things too. Only Google is not everything. So don't get obsessed with attracting Google and satisfying its Animal Updates. Instead, focus on Social Media and Google will see you automatically. 2) Backlinks are Backbone of SEO Well guys, gone are the days when you could get a better Page Rank just by getting tons of Backlinks from low quality sites. Nowadays, backlinks are still important but they should be of high quality. Preferably from edu or gov sites. 3) Just Pay Some Bucks and SEO is Done There are folks who claim they can improve your site SEO wise just in days. These guys are mostly scam or use black hat techniques. These techniques do bring you some results but they don't last long. Instead they get you penalized. So never pay money for SEO, because even Google does not ask you for money. 4) SEO Shows Results Overnight Actually SEO is just like building muscles. Both take sometime to start giving you results. You can not just do some SEO and expect results overnight. Google updates come after 3-4 months. Hence SEO too takes couple of months to start showing you results. You have to be patient and keep doing what you are doing. 5) You Should Daily Publish Blogposts Now here is one confusion about how often you should publish Blog Posts. Actually you should not publish daily, the truth is "You should publish REGULARLY". See the difference? Google does not want just content, it wants High Quality, Unique and Informative Content. As you know Internet is already full of Content. You must write something outstanding to please Google. You can not do that by publishing daily, Right? If you do that, the quality of your content will get degraded. &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; So you should post regularly instead of daily. Make a schedule and follow it consistently. Such as posting 3 posts in a week or maybe 5 in a month etc. Hope you learned something new from this Article.
